Free Pattern Saturday is here again!

Posted by alison miller on

This weeks blog I wanted to start off by saying a big huge thank you to those of you who have so far donated to our bushfire relief raffle.

Yesterday we stood at $700 Raised for Wires and $500 Raised for The Red Cross. There have been a bunch more donations overnight so I am sure we are almost at 1K for WIRES.

That's a wonderful amazing effort and I am so heartened by everyone's generosity and enthusiasm for our giveaway. If you have no idea what the heck I'm talking about well, I am giving away (raffling if you will) a yarn haul worth over 500AUD for ever 2k raised for the above charities. Tickets are $10 and you can buy as many as you like - Here

Okay onto what you've all clicked on this post for!

This week's free pattern is one with both a knit AND crochet version!

Published by Life Is Cosy, the Stormy sky shawl is a beautiful free knit or crochet pattern.

Arnt they stunning??

They work up quickly because of all the open lacework and are huge!

This is highly customizable again given the repeat nature of the pattern and uses only one skein of fingering weight for either shawl, with a 5.5m knitting needle or 4mm (G) hook.

The knit version can be found here -

The crochet version can be found here -

This week I am heading up to Brisbane for a day or two and will hopefully get to visit Yarn glorious yarn while I'm there and I can not wait. But while I'm away, There is a special offer happening in my store which is this!

EVERY ORDER OVER $120 AUD WILL RECEIVE A FREE FULL-SIZE MYSTERY SKEIN OF FINGERING WEIGHT YARN IN THEIR ORDER! (gasp emoji faces)

So have at it my lovelies and make sure to pick a skein you can make this shawl with, I'd love to see them!

Till next week,

love ya
